Marine Service Centre cc is a new specialist marine boating company partnership which was set up in July 2009, specifically to represent the Mercury brand in the Hartbeespoort area, after the dealership became available. The business was formed by two experienced professionals,Ian Klem and Philllip Pettersen. Ian Klem is well known in the Gauteng area before moving to the Hartbeespoort area and trades under the name of Marine Craft. |

 The objective is to provide a one stop, total boating solution service by people who are passionate about  boating, committed to excellence and sustainable customer service.

The two have now teamed up to offer a comprehensive specialist Mercury dealership on the dam. The new venture will sell and service the Mercury and MerCruiser range of outboard and inboard engines. Other well known brands are also cared for. |

Ian is a SAMSA qualified Safety officer and also holds a SAMSA Offshore Power & Sail skippers certificate. |

Ian and Phillip are old friends and have been business associates for a number of years. In 1986 they teamed up and won gold in the Open Class during the SA games held on Hartbeespoort Dam. |

Phillip Pettersen is a well known insurance professional who now serves on several boards as a Non Executive Director. He is also an entrepreneur who also owns and operates a retail and wholesale liquor business. His main passion however, is boating and is a RYA professionally licensed skipper ( Yachtmaster with a commercial endorsement).He also holds a SMSA Offshore skippers certificate for power and sail. |
